Bernd Widemann - Founder
Bernd Widemann lived in Lagos, Nigeria from 1994 until 2000, where he visited the German School. He pursued a degree in Economics at the University of Sussex followed by a Masters in 'Environment, Development & Policy'. During his studies he worked in a residential home for adults with learning disabilities.
John Green - Founder
John Green was born in Lagos, Nigeria and lived there until he was 10 years old. After returning to England he qualified as a teacher and worked in London's dockland for 5 years. He then moved into a career in business, founding an international print agency and then a major educational publishing company.
Donna Carson - Trustee
Donna Carson trained and worked in social work both in the USA and England since 1976. Degrees from both London and New York University. She has worked with people with physical and learning disabilities and their families within residential, familial and educational settings. Currently working in a private practice in the USA and continues to run a social networking group for people with disabilities and social anxiety disorder.
Johnny McCune - Trustee
Johnny McCune is both a television producer and author - he has worked predominately in live television, news/current affairs but also entertainment. He was founding member of EMMA FUND, in association with Christian Aid, which provided educational help for women and children in East Africa.
Firopo Akin Agunbiade - Trustee
Firopo Akin Agunbiade was born in Lagos Nigeria. Attended the University of Lagos Nigeria where he studied Architecture and also attended the College of Estate Management Reading UK where he studied Construction Project Management. Firopo has worked in the cladding/facade industry in the UK since he graduated in 2000 from the University of Lagos. He currently works for Laing O'Rourke Construction UK Ltd as a Facade Project Manager in the United Kingdom. Firopo has a keen interest in developing and implementing new ideas and supporting good causes.
John Stanger-Leathes - Trustee
John Stanger-Leathes was born in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. From 1975 to 1980 he worked at Joined Brown & Hood Ltd, as Financial then as Managing Director. Joined Henderson Contracts Ltd in 1980 as Financial Director. Formed sole trader accounting practice 'Essell' in 1983. Extracurricular activities have included Chair of Governors at John Spence Community High School 1992 to 1995, Finance Governor at Nunnykirk Hall School 1978 to 1993, and Round Table 1972 to 1990.
